Adopt-a-block Leader
My name is Brandon Harwell, and I have been a leader for the last two years. I was introduced to 212 when I started running the sound for student ministries. It amazed me how on fire this group was and how incredible the students are.
Being a leader, I had the privilege to attend the mission trip to LA. One of the outreach events we helped with was called adopt-a-block. What they were doing with this outreach intrigued me so much that I interviewed the leaders and documented the whole thing. After learning a lot about adopt-a-block, I was eager for the next chance I could visit.
The whole vision of adopt-a-block is to find a community that is hurting, a community that broken and show them peace through Jesus Christ! Shown through events like community events, after school tutoring and odd jobs, all while loving them unconditionally. I really believe in this, and I'm really excited to bring it to 212 student ministries.
